Barbarich Dock

Some people may not realize there is lake-front property in the middle of the Las Vegas valley.  This project is a beautiful overhanging dock for one-such property.  The deck is made of an imported Brazilian hardwood called Ipe, which is extremely durable.  The decking is attached with a hidden fastener system so that no screws are visible, leaving the pristine wood surface.  And since the supports had to be behind the lake wall, to achieve the 6 feet overhang over water, the supporting framing had to cantilever (overhang) a full 8 feet.
