Post-Tensioned Slabs

Whether it’s a new post-tensioned slab for a home or a sports court, or a modification to an existing slab for a walk-in shower or wine cellar, we provide structural design services for new and existing post-tensioned slabs on grade. ¬†These slabs are compressed by sheathed cables called “tendons” that are placed before the concrete is poured. ¬†After the concrete hardens the cables are “tensioned” with around 27,000 pounds of force in each tendon.
