Post-Tensioned Slabs

Whether it’s a new post-tensioned slab for a home or a sports court, or a modification to an existing slab for a walk-in shower or wine cellar, we provide structural design services for new and existing post-tensioned slabs on grade.  These slabs are compressed by sheathed cables called “tendons” that are placed before the concrete is poured.  After the concrete hardens the cables are “tensioned” with around 27,000 pounds of force in each tendon.
